Andy is a medical device executive with over 15 years experience. Prior to the spin-out from Blackrock Microsystems, Andy was the CEO of Blackrock Microsystems and he successfully commercialized research products in the neurophysiology sector increasing revenue from $700k to +$10 million in less than four years. Prior to Blackrock, Andy was responsible for sales and operations for the US Surgical Division of Haemonetics Corporation. Andy has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (with a focus in Bioengineering) from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In his spare time, he enjoys competitive sports, good local food and exploring the outdoors with his wife and two children.
Tom is Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Blackrock NeuroMed. He has over 25 years of sales and marketing experience in clinical neurology and sleep disorders. Tom’s effectiveness in corporate leadership motivates the sales and technical support teams to the highest level of customer satisfaction. Due to his years of experience within the medical device industry he has developed expertise in business development, sales and marketing strategies, distribution channels, capital investment and reimbursement. Prior to Blackrock NeuroMed, he served as Director of Corporate Accounts with Viasys Healthcare NeuroCare Group (now Cardinal Health) and as Sales Director for Natus. He enjoys spending his free time on the golf course and with family.
Shanna has focused her medical device career on new product development and commercialization to bring value to the market. At Blackrock NeuroMed, Shanna manages the company’s marketing strategy. Before joining NeuroMed, she held a product management position at Amedica, launching innovative spine/orthopedic implants comprised of silicon nitride. In addition, she worked in product management at CR. Bard and was involved with the Lassonde Center at the University of Utah. Shanna has an MBA degree from the University of Utah and BS and MS degrees in Zoology from UW- Madison. In her free time, she is found climbing steep cliffs in the Utah canyons.
